Desktop Manager My client is looking for an experienced and commercially astute Desktop Manager who will be responsible for the delivery of strategic desktop solutions to my client and it’s 3500 employees in over 480 locations nationwide. The role will see the successful candidate; Develop and organise the Desktop architecture to meet the changing needs of the business. Constantly review and audit the current and future platforms. Availability Management Capacity Management Responsible for the design build and maintenance of the Architecture. Responsible for the design build and maintenance of Group Policy, Citrix Policies, File and folder security. Responsible for the design, build and maintenance of workstations, laptops, desktops and terminal server security. Lead and develop the internal team, ensuring high levels of motivation Candidates who want to be considered for this role should have: · A proven history in both the management of, and the development of a team with core skills in the Desktop arena, specifically including Active Directory, Exchange and Citrix. · A strong commercial focus and several years experience of the following: - Leading remote support teams - Desktop & Laptop architecture - Active Directory - Exchange 2003 - Neverfail - EVS - Windows mobile solutions - Citrix Secure Gateway - Terminal Services - Windows XP Professional - Windows Server 2003 · Proven track record of managing the delivery and support function within a business with a diverse and distributed user and systems base. · Proven track record of delivering a high availability IT service to call centre, an Internet sales channel or their equivalent.
