Job Description:
My client is looking to recruit a Technical Network Analyst to manage their LAN, WAN, physical security and perimeter security infrastructure as part of the IT Infrastructure Team. Key accountabilities Availability Management – ensuring that infrastructure components are designed then maintained to meet the Availability requirements of the Business. Capacity Management – ensuring that adequate resource capacity is maintained on all key systems and any issues are highlighted before they affect the production environment. A member of a 2nd/3rd line technical team with responsibility for a complex multi-site/multi-supplier LAN/WAN environment. Cooperation with team colleagues on incident management and root cause analysis. Production of high quality network documentation, project plans and technology proposals following defined templates. Assist with the design of: · LAN and WAN services · Firewall services. · Internet connection. · Internet proxy and content management services. · Intrusion prevention / detection systems. · Physical Datacentre environment Candidates require: Achieved or on the way to achieving one of: Cisco CCNA Cisco CCSP The work experience you’ll need Design/management of Microsoft ISA server is preferable. Design/management of Checkpoint firewall infrastructure. Design/management of MPLS based network service. ITIL certified, preferable but not essential. Sustained and demonstrable experience obtained in an IT Systems / Operations department. IT admin/support and/or infrastructure management within a range of organisations, operating within large, complex and distributed IT environments; Skills: Detailed understanding of the following areas: Cisco Switches and routers Checkpoint Firewall VPNs Bluecoat Proxy Server Microsoft ISA Server MPLS WAN QoS for VoIP
