Position: Principal Software Engineer – Comms / EW Salary: Up to £45-55k Dep on Experience Location: Gloucestershire 


This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and established Defence Engineering company in the South West area working on a range of projects across a number of applications. You’ll be responsible for leading the development of a wide range of Communications and Electronic Warfare projects and Programmes Key Responsibilities ·Requirements analysis and authoring of specifications for software systems. ·Architectural design and documentation of software systems. ·Providing software technical authority for all or part of a project. ·Team management of a small team of software engineers. ·Collaboration with hardware engineers to agree system designs, interfaces and protocols etc. ·Manage configuration control of source code. Your experience should include: ·C / C++ programming ·A Range of Compilers ·Full Software Lifecycle ·Embedded and RealTime systems Development ·Low and High Level Software Development ·Understanding of the underlying principles of Digital and DSP Hardware ·Team Leading The role requires motivated individuals who are able to work flexibly and under their own initiative often against tight deadlines.
