My client is looking to recruit a commercially astute Operations Manager to manage the day to day operation of the IT Systems which support the business, ensuring that the services provided meet service level agreements and that any incidents and problems which arise are managed and resolved in a timely and effective manner.
The work experience you’ll need:
Proven commercial experience of managing an IT Operations support department in a business critical environment with an internet based solution. Candidates should be used to working at a strategic level with budgetary experience as well as previous experience of supporting multi-site businesses with large user bases.
Experience in:
Managing business critical systems and ensuring production change control and scheduled operations are stringently enforced
Working to service level agreements;
The establishment of a continuous improvement culture, with a strong customer focus;
Development and implementation of operational procedures
Managing operations within a complex Windows based
Proven people management skills

Excellent management and organisational skills. Good range of interpersonal skills. Proven experience of building and maintaining relationships (internal and external) at all levels. Ability to motivate and develop others to achieve challenging deadlines. Good understanding of ITIL Service Management Best Practice. Capability to react effectively to daily operational situations & to think clearly & logically to solve problems. An analytical and conceptual thinker. Understands the whole picture, technical and business needs.
