Software Development Project Manager - Lancashire £35K + Benefits A Project Manager is required to manage a number of projects concurrently at any one time. The role involves working as part of a team of Project Managers. This position will be responsible for: · Managing a number of concurrent projects from initiation throughout the project lifecycle to completion. · Creation and maintenance of project plans covering the entire project lifecycle. · Monitoring project progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary. · Managing project risks and issues, including the development of contingency plans. · Liaison with IT Senior Management and other project managers to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated. · Representing the IT Department to other areas of the business and external third parties. · Production of regular reports on project progress. You will have commerical experience in a similar role managing software development projects, You must also have strong skills in the following: · Ability to apply a standard and consistent approach to the management of projects. · Ability to direct, manage and motivate project teams of varying sizes. · Experience of creating and maintaining project plans covering the entire project lifecycle. · Experience of building and sustaining effective relationships with other project stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority. · A proactive, organised approach to work. · Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
