Network/Firewall Engineer required for a 12 month contract based in Nottingham. You will have a strong background of Checkpoint and Cisco, and will hold CCSE/CCSA/CCSE+/CCNA/CCNP/CCSP certifications or equivalent. Also required is experience of Cisco PIX/ASA, VPNs and TCP/IP, and familiarity with Cisco 65xx Switch Series, Alteon Load Balancers and Nokia IP Series. This is 12-month role that will be based on the client site with some travel possibly involved. You will be working within a team of 9 and reporting into the delivery manager providing network support and design. You will be working in a highly complex and diverse networking environment, and must be willing to be flexible on working extended and out-of-hours (including stand-by), The ability to work in a team with strong written and verbal communication skills is a must. The role will involve the network support, design and growth of the Customer Base.
