Network Specialist, Encryption, Firewall, ITIL,
A network specialist required to join a large public sector organisation.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the Encryption/Firewall infrastructure meets organisations expectations in terms of uptime, response time, functionality, capacity, etc whilst balancing this against restricted budgets and key drivers to improve value for money. You will also work with all programme offices responsible for the implementation of new / strategic ENCRYPTION/FIREWALL infrastructure items to ensure proper governance is in place prior to the implementation of the change to the ENCRYPTION/FIREWALL infrastructure.
You will have accountability for governance of all hardware infrastructures that exists in all the organisations Data Centres. Specifically, this person must step up the governance and reporting of/on the suppliers of these services in the following areas (some may or may not apply): Service Desk / Catalogue; Incident Management; Encryption and firewall; Capacity / Performance Management; Problem Management; Change Management; Continuity Management; Service Level Management; Release Management; Configuration Management; Availability Management; Security Management. You will also have responsibility for ensuring that all aspects of the encryption and firewall are customer focused, provide value for money (working with VFM/Finance) and where possible deliver improvements in both levels of service provided and deliver savings.
You will have experience of; Experience of encryption and firewall systems and the Governance thereof; Experience in Sourcing and Contract Management; Qualification in ITIL best practice; Experience of operations planning and associated processes; Experience of business change management and delivering improvement in a Service based organisation.
