If you can programme in T-SQL on Microsoft SQL Servers then you are halfway to being the right candidate for this tremendous opportunity. SQL Server 2000 experience is required and SQL Server 2005 would be ideal along with large database experience.

You will be responsible for writing stored procedures and SQL scripts to maintain and manipulate large datasets in complex data structures; Optimising indexes, views and stored procedures, etc in a complex database application (approx. 1000 tables, 750 views, 1750 stored procedures); Loading data using DTS and/or scripts from a variety of sources (generally spreadsheets) requiring extensive rationalization, conversion, and/or reformatting prior to loading; Setting up users for access to our bespoke system with detailed personalised security profiles for access to extremely sensitive data, and various other system administration tasks (with overlapping exercises that require adhoc SQL).
