Job Title: Equipment Engineer Location: Bristol Salary: £35k - £40k + Excellent benefits Interested in working within a naval and commercial marine market sector. A world leading supplier of products and services to defence and aerospace will require your expertise as an Equipment Engineer to maintain the specification of equipment and systems for a mission critical naval programme. The role You’ll be expected to provide subject matter expertise in Equipment Engineering for all aspects of equipment and hardware engineering relating to a major naval programme. You’ll be required to decompose and derive the equipment requirements and standards applicable to mission critical, real time control systems for a naval vessel. Other duties to include: - Planning and preparing the equipment qualification programme - Justifying specification, design and product selection of equipment and hardware - Balancing cost and risk against capability and customer requirement Required skills: You’ll need to have knowledge of marine or industrial control applications with experience of procurement of computer systems & hardware. A good understanding of structured design, quality, test, acceptance processes and standards will also be needed along with knowledge of environmental certification processes, Lloyds Rules and Def Stans.
