Systems Engineer required to work in Stoke on a 3 month contract initially.

The responsibilities for this role are:
• Installing, testing, tuning, upgrading and maintaining both internal and external supplied systems such as operating systems and data management products.
• To provide technical expertise and advice to internal ICT and project staff.
• To ensure that technical work undertaken by both contractors and internal ICT staff is quality checked and that goods and services delivered are fit for purpose.
• To produce full documentation of all work undertaken and ensure that it complies with corporate standards.
• Ensure that all operational procedures are documented, implemented and embedded to ensure the reliable and continued operation of the service.

The skills and experience required for the role are:
Essential
• Windows 2000, 2003, 2008 Administration.
• Active Directory management.
• DNS management.
• VMWare ESX Server Administration
• Microsoft Exchange 2007 Administration
• SQL 2000, 2005 Administration

Desirable
• Experience with EMC Clariion (SAN) technology..
• Experience with EMC Legato Networker technology.
• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server
