Fantastic brand new opportunity to join a leading organisation in Newcastle. My client is a leading affiliate marketing company , and is enjoying ongoing sales and expansion and is continuing to dominate the market.

•Due to this continued expansion, they are now looking to expand their development team by recruiting an experienced MYSQL DBA. The role shall be extremely diverse; Installing and setting up the new database system, Working with developers and MIS team to ensure the department use the correct queries to get the right data, you shall be responsible for the integrity and security of corporate data, manage backups and disaster recovery, work with the developers and MIS analysts to ensure date is accurate and up to date, advise on database architecture, performance and resource requirements, database maintenance and administration, and investigation of new database technology.

From a technical perspective, we are looking for a candidate with strong SQL Skills, with particular emphasis on MySQL and ideally exposure to e-commerce systems and some who has worked within a LAMP environment.
