Vacancy Description

Software design and development on small to large sized development projects. This position is within a busy Microsoft development practice developing both highly bespoke Internet applications and applications utilising Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services & Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. Current driving licence is beneficial as candidates must be willing to travel throughout the UK as dictated by Client and business demands.


Essential Experience/Skills

• Expert knowledge and real-world experience of building web content managed sites with MOSS.
• Development and implementation of intranet, extranets and portals using MOSS.
• Customisation of MOSS and WSS, including the design and development of web parts.
• Implementation and customisation of the MOSS Search Engine.
• Extensive development experience using ASP, ASP.net , VB.net or C#
• Experience of web development (HTML, Java Script, XML, CSS Ajax)
• Relational databases and SQL, specifically SQL Server
• Excellent written and verbal communication (English)

Desired Experience/Skills

• Implementation of taxonomy and ontology products.
• Computer Science Degree or Higher Level qualification.
• MCP or MCTS in relevant subject areas.
• MCAD/MCSD/MCPD
