NetApp Support Engineer required to provide technical support to 24 x7 applications and databases running on NetApp hardware in Unix and Windows environments. Duties include: System monitoring (availability, capacity, performance, etc) of NetApp Filers Daily Filer health checks Reactive problem resolution Change management Recovery from h/w failure Hardware performance review & tuning where agreed by management and customer Maintenance of hardware s/w set (patches, upgrades) Provisioning of storage to customers within agreed timescales using relevant tools/processes (command line) Security and Audit compliance Shifts- 2x day shifts (7am to 7pm), 2x night shifts (7pm to 7am) and 4 days off Experience in the support and management of NetApp Filers Netapp Data OnTap version 7.x Management of traditional and flexible volumes Provisioning storage using NFS and CIFS protocols Snap Shots Basic SUN UNIX administration NetApp SnapMirror and SnapVault
