C#.Net, VB SOFTWARE ENGINEER, Hook, £35k - C#, VB, C, C++, .Net

One of my growing and successful clients is currently looking for a Software Engineer to join their friendly and dynamic office in Hook.

My client has in excess of 25 years experience and due to continuing growth and expansion are now looking to recruit a dynamic developer to work in new product development and maintenance of existing software.

As part of a small team the ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, test, version/change control, and deployment of software solutions. They will also be involved in subsequent support and maintenance of the developments.

This post reports directly to the General Manager with technical support and guidance from Technical Lead.

The successful candidate should have:

• Have a real interest and understanding of the tools and methods required for software development.
• Have a strong academic grasp of the software life cycle from requirements analysis through to development, testing, implementation and documentation.
• Have an excellent knowledge of the net 2.0 framework and visual studio environment.
• Be able to demonstrate strong technical skills in C, C# and VB – a knowledge of C++ will be an advantage
• Possess good knowledge of VB6.
• Have the capability of structuring and delivering work results against defined standards/objectives.
