You will have excellent technical skills including Oracle, XML, Unix and FTP and have experience DESIGNING and DEVELOPING interfaces and APPLICATIONS. Any knowledge of Local Government Housing processes and experience of delivering integrated business solutions using the Northgate Housing Application or equivalent is highly desirable. Knowledge of ISO20000 and ITIL would be an advantage.
You will provide a technical lead for projects and support of Housing development so must have strong Oracle, SQL and Unix skills
Excellent integration and interface skills including XML and FTP
You will be responsible for the day-to-day support for IT relating to Housing business area and must have knowledge of and implement a range of procedures e.g. ITIL/ISO20000, Release Management, IT Security, change management, risk assessment, project management standards
Excellent business analysis and technical documentation
Gather and analyse data to prepare recommendations, reports and proposals
Carry out design, configuration, testing and documentation of enhancements and system interfaces
Work collaboratively with partners on innovative technologies and changes to business practices to meet corporate and customer policies and priorities
Well organised, in particular accurate recording of time spent on tasks for efficient budgeting and income generation
Supervise and develop / train staff as appropriate
Lead on and contribute to specialist advice, techniques and activity
Analyse, develop and implement IT processes and/or systems
Liaise with DBA's, suppliers and technical architects to make the best use of IS/IT in supporting its development agenda
Manage and co-ordinate applications support for a specific technical area of Housing Applications
Respond to complex business and technical application problems, investigate root causes and manage solutions
Able to identify data anomalies and issues using SQL
Work with development functions to deliver Business Transformation project interfaces and developments
Assist in the management of the Northgate Technical Support function
