Oracle Developers required for large FTSE Company based in Fort Dunlop, Birmingham

The developer is responsible for the production and ongoing support of software that meets the needs of the customer and is developed to agreed quality standards and timescales within a structured development framework.

Responsibilities Include:
•Production of technical specifications
•Critical review of design and specifications. Quality review of code, documentation, reports and other deliverables produced by other team members.
•Development of SOA-enabled applications and business processes (via Oracle JDeveloper).
•Implementation (via ESB) and orchestration of BPEL processes developed using Oracle BPEL Process Manager and workflow under Oracle JDeveloper / Oracle SOA Suite.
•J2EE application development in an Oracle JDeveloper / Oracle SOA Suite context.
•Specification and production of interfaces via SOA and/or web services.
•Software development in an Oracle environment (specify, code, unit test, review, rework, etc.)
•Production of SQL queries, PL/SQL program Units, Oracle Forms and Reports development.
•Liaising with other teams, business areas and third parties where assistance to or from Applications Support is required in incident resolution.

Person Specification:(General)
Educated to HND/Degree level.
Must prefer working in a structured, process-driven environment.
Open minded, self motivated and have a ‘can do' attitude.
Practical and well organised
Proven ability to acquire new skills and working in a rapid-change environment.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Applicant may initially require BC security clearance, and potentially be required to apply for SC security clearance
Understanding of commercial drivers within a technical environment.
Exposure to data warehousing.
