IT Support Technician / IT Helpdesk required for Croydon, Surrey based Client. The role will be to provide technical support to users of the computer and telecommunications network. This will be in person, by telephone, or by email. This IT Support / Helpdesk role requires an experienced individual to perform diagnosis and resolution of IT problems both onsite and by telephone to both end users and remote users as required. You will be installing and configuring workstations and related hardware and software, as well as testing, maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting problems.
This IT Support Technician / IT Helpdesk role will require effective communication and cooperation with the second line support team to ensure effective service is provided to the end users. This will include escalating problems to, and implementing fixes and policies defined by, the second line team.
Excellent knowledge, experience and MS Certification of MS Windows XP, desktop and server systems, IP Networks, Ethernet LAN’s, CAT 5 cabling and patching, as well as LAN and WAN connectivity / troubleshooting, along with good technical knowledge of PC internal components is a must.
This IT Support / Helpdesk role based in Croydon, Surrey comes with a salary of up to £28,000 depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and a generous holiday entitlement.
