Senior Software Tester – Stoke On Trent

New opportunity to join a leading software house based in the Cheshire area, my client is a leading player in their market, and business partners with other major IT vendors. Due to ongoing expansion they have an opening for Senior Software tester (automated) to provide a lead test function, and ensure that the software meets with company standards and oversee the testing department in general.

This is going to be an interesting, rewarding and challenging role for the right candidate. You shall be working for a software house working on unique and technical applications, with a globally span client base. My client works with many of the latest technologies, and can offer you a challenging and technically diverse working environment. Your responsibilities shall include:

•Reporting team performance to Management
•Optimise the QA processes
•Continually revise methods and concepts used by QA team
•Work closely with development and support teams
•Ensure test scripts are up to date
•Plan and execute stability and performance testing for all major release
•To write automated scripts, and advise QA team on optimum use of manual/automated scripting
•Mentor test team
•Project Management
•Experience of Compuware's Test Director and Test Partner


You shall have the opportunity to work closely with other members of the IT Team , including software developers, technical support analysts and the rest of the testing team, they have adopted a great working environment and company culture.

Ideally you will have proven experience within a testing or applications QA role, and any candidates with an ISEB/ISTQB or similar certification would be highly desirable.
