Oracle DBA to support key client applications through migration and upgrade work. The role will focus on ensuring the smooth transition from a third party supplier to an in-house team along with upgrade work from Oracle 8 to 10g. You will take-on the expert role on site in both a technical hands fashion whilst also providing advice/mentoring to permanent team members.


Specifically you will undertake database migration and upgrade activities, provide database support and investigate and resolve performance and capability issues. You will be experienced in supporting Oracle on both Windows and unix platforms.


You should come to the role with strong Oracle DBA experience (version 8 - 10g) and the proven ability to take ownership for significant technical change. You will need to demonstrate working independently on a client site and the ability to deliver long term and stable database solutions.
