JAVA DEVELOPER / ARCHITECT - LONDON - BANKING

Large Australian investment bank seeks a Java Programmer to work within the Treasuring & Commodities Group of the bank.

Candidates, who are experienced and enthusiastic, are required to work on a mid-office system supporting, among other functionality, trade verification and document generation. The system is used in multiple locations globally and successful candidates will be part of a team of developers in Sydney, London and USA.

- Broad experience in Java technologies
- Strong knowledge in Java, JMS, RMI, SWING and XML
- Experience in Object Oriented (OO) software development
- Strong relational database experience (preferably Sybase)

To succeed in this role you will be a highly self motivated individual, with a positive attitude, strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent experience in all phases of systems development. Experience with UNIX (shell scripting) will be highly regarded
