Role - 2nd Line, ASP, SQL - Support Developer
Location - Worcester
Salary - £35,000 - £38,000 + excellent benefits including 28 days holiday, pension scheme and a 35 hour working week!
An opportunity to join a highly reputable global organisation, the post holder will be working undertaking the analysis and development of IS system improvements and support
services, enabling efficient and effective working for customers.
As an analyst programmer you will be investigating faults, and developing bug fixes, fault resolution etc for support requests. The environment is a mix of classic ASP and ASP.net, experience of both of these is essential. Database experience is also required, some experience of SQL reporting tools is will also be beneficial.
Key accountabilities:
·Work with IS support teams, external suppliers and users to maintain our existing business applications and to provide best quality second line software support for the business.
Measure: Feedback from colleagues and users, quality of fixes / improvements delivered, response times to the business.
·Support the analysis of customer needs to identify business application developments and enhancements, working with internal and external stakeholders to scope service and product improvements that meet the current and future needs of IS customers and liaising effectively with suppliers as necessary.
Measure: Accuracy of analysis and suitability of recommendations, quality of business cases for developments and product improvements, customer/stakeholder feedback
·Support the effective appraisal of new technologies and their suitability in meeting Group needs and scalability to support the delivery of new, and integration of existing, IS infrastructure services to meet the future needs of the Group.
Measure: Cost savings, quality of appraisals, suitability of technology recommendations, customer feedback
·Support the management and implementation of special programmes and projects in support of the Group's activities, including integration and data management projects.
Measure: Achievement of programme, targets and outcomes

·Excellent support experience - up to 2nd line
·Comprehensive experience of software development methods
·Comprehensive knowledge of Classic ASP
·Proven experience of SQL and/or PL/SQL
·Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
