UK Network Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Network Manager to join a leading Global Technology Services Organisation based in the East Midlands. You will be based in a state of the art Data Centre in Nottingham and will work in a fast paced, changing and challenging 24*7 environment, aiming our sights to be world class in the services we provide. Our focus is very much on providing a stable service whilst being agile & flexible and resourced to support our business in delivery of many revenue generating projects. The UK Network Operations Team provides services across the UK&I and EMEA and going forward into Asia Pacific.

The primary purpose of the role is to lead the UK network operational team of around 12, ensuring objectives are defined, development plans are in place, training requirements are defined with training plans, resource schedules are defined and maintained and all the many other aspects of leadership that you would expect to come with this position. This role has full P&L responsibility for the UK network team.

SKILLS:
The Network Manager will need deep technical skills in Cisco, Nortel and Juniper and Nortel, Juniper and Cisco.
You will also need an excellent understanding of WAN, LAN, DMVPN, Internetworks, Switching, Routers, Firewalls, Remote Access, Security and Network Management are essential and will need to be demonstrated.

This is a very challenging role and expectations are high so you will need to be able to demonstrate on every level to be considered.

You will also need to have an extremely flexible approach to working and enjoy working in a very lively and fast paced environment.
