A leading software provider are growing and looking to recruit a Technical Support Engineer. In this position you will be responsible for providing support and maintenance to the operating environment for their software application. The environment uses Intel-based hardware, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and infrastructure technologies and Cisco network equipment. The role will require some travel and does offer the option for out of hours or weekend work.
Responsibilities include;
- Support, maintenance and monitoring of the application service platform
- Resolution of technical support requests
- Installation of hardware, operating systems and supporting software
- Working and liaising with internal teams and datacenter engineers, customer services staff and project managers
- Citrix installation and maintenance
This is an exciting position that will expose the post holder to a number of varied high availability hardware components and software, and exposure to the financial and banking sector. A great opportunity to develop and gain experience in these areas to develop your career for the future.
Skills required;
- Experience of Windows Operating Systems
- Knowledge of HP and Dell hardware including server Hardware installation and driver setup
- Experience of remote/unattended installation software
- Active directory administration
- Friendly and professional attitude
Any MCP, MCTS, Comp TIA or MCSA certifications are beneficial.
