This FTSE100 IT Leader who are renown as Specialists in their field, are expanding constantly and now have a new opportunity for an experienced Microsoft Lead Software Developer to join their Professional team! With a constant increase in Projects, we now need a SharePoint Leader to assist in the software design and development on small to large sized development projects and manage a small but growing team. This position is within a busy Microsoft development practice developing both bespoke Internet applications and applications utilising SharePoint application servers. Duties and Responsibilities: Development and delivery of software applications. Understanding of the business requirements of an application to ensure that any development or maintenance meets the customer's business requirements and the agreed design. Be able to understand, learn and use recognised frameworks, design patterns, tools and standards. Work alongside other teams in the provision of a single seamless application service to the customer. Produce and have a mature approach to documentation and distribution of knowledge. Ensure that quality control and quality assurance procedures are performed in accordance with development standards. Lead a small but growing team. Essential Experience: Proven commmercial experience in a Web Development role; Strong commercial experience developing with Microsoft Office Team Leading experience Experience managing multiple projects SharePoint Server 2007 & SharePoint (WSS); Experience developing with ASP, ASP.net , C#; Commercial experience of using Visual Studio 2005/2008; Experience of working in various operating environments i.e. Server 2003, 2008; Experience of web development tools i.e.HTML, Java Script, XML, CSS, Ajax Excellent working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, specifically SQL Server Excellent written and verbal communication (English). Mostly office based but some travel may be required Good understanding of software development lifecycle Commercial experience developing with SharePoint 2007 (MOSS); Developing internet web sites, SEO & Accessibility
